There are probably four groups among the Chinese American Community in this whole JK show.
The first group is those who see nothing evil. They see it as a comedy and are never bothered. They don't even see the need for an apology even though ABC were forced to agree that is "egregious" mistake from ABC. They are basically unconcerned with hate speeches if it was not directly upon them. Some of them may prefer a nuanced implicit comedy-style fight back.
The next group is those who are saddened but dare not to ask for equal rights. They were used to discrimination and anything that's slightly better is acceptable. Their organizations fought and negotiated with Disney/ABC only for minimal concession to show to Chinese Americans why they should exist and get votes or other support at all. They were against any demonstration -- that's not the mild reticent "Chinese" stereotype. Or they grudgingly joined at the last minute to show that they are relevant. They do more harm than their worth in demonstrations by meddling with politics rather than the basic rights. They also claimed victory and credits after the token recession and their minimum contribution.
The third groups are Chinese Americans mostly born after MLK and inspired by equal rights for everyone. They uphold the American value of Equality and Free Speech. They experiences the discrimination every day against Chinese Americans and other races. They want to do something to remedy it. They can see the show as satire but get infuriated with Disney/ABC's "apologies" and under the belt attacks on Chinese American's protests. Most of them are people with post-graduate degrees, good stable income and kids in school. They will not compromise. They believe in their strength, -- they are self-made.
The fourth and last group is very similar to the third group and often goes with the third group. But they are often more rigid on another aspect, rather than principles they trained their eyes on Jimmy Kimmel as a main goal and line in the sand. They are very vocal and direct. Sometimes they can alienate supporters in other ethnic groups by targeting Free Speech and Jimmy Kimmel personally. Trading principles for expedience is not a problem for them. This separate them from the third group.
Group one never participate protest and they were against protest at all. Group two didn't participate in protest either and they eagerly accepted any "apology" and claimed victories. Group three and Group four are core protesters. They are determined to fight on, against Jimmy Kimmel's show and the unacceptable apologies. They are not guest Chinese in American but real Americans, the Chinese American.
Most Americans never knew that by condoning "killing everyone in China", 6-7 times more Chinese were killed in WWII than all Jews combined in the world. Neither did they knew the discrimination against Chinese in American caused four generations' of Chinese American before 1965 unable to get citizenship, marry with other races or reunion with their families in the United States -- they had to go back to the war-torn country and join casualties or refugees there with no chance of coming back if they wanted to see their family or get married. That's why they see Jimmy Kimmel show rather different from Chinese Americans familiar with their history. These Americans even thought comparing Jimmy Kimmel show and the "apologies" thereafter cheapened genocides. The 20-35 million Chinese killed in WWII doesn't register any weight in them. To them, they are more sympathetic if someone threats to kill a stray dog on the street in a show. The same attitude lead to the rude awakening on Attack of Pearl Harbor and loss of 400,000 US lives in the WWII. It is some thing that can be averted by nipping hatred in the bud.
These Americans also doesn't know much about the national debt myth and China's role. Or the decades of similar propaganda that created hatred to China, Chinese or Chinese American out of nothing. In reciprocal we bet that not many Chinese will view American as friendly as they want. The irrational mutual resentment could lead to the next world war and millions of life lost as China inevitably grows stronger, more vocal and tired of being abused. We hope that day will never happen.

There were unconfirmed media report quoting "U.S. China Press" of an
individual(s) representing "USA 11.9 ABC Protesting Insult-of-China Speech
Committee" accepted a so called apology from ABC. We hereby clarify that
this report is inaccurate.
Any individual who released such statement is neither authorized or
representing any of the Chinese American Protester Groups participated in
Rally 119. The representatives from participating cities have declared
support for the "Denouncing the insincere apologies from Disney/ABC and
Calling All Chinese American to Boycott Disney Immediately" on November

Chinese Americans Launches Campaign Boycotting Disney
All convened members of San Francisco Rally 119 Committee unanimously approved petition to all Chinese Americans to boycott Disney and coordinate all the efforts.

The Chinese community is appalled at ABC's gross misrepresentation of facts regarding dates of press releases of the so called apologies. We sending massive media notice to our organizers in each city. We are escalating our effort by starting a grassroots movement in the county.
We will
1. reach out to other minority groups
2. call for boycotting ABC/Disney
3. Post newspaper ads exposing ABC's dirty tricks
4. Look into legal ramifications over willful misrepresentation, gross negligence and incompetence of such press releases.
Lets see if we can join national forces to get donation to put big ads on national news paper to reveal abc's dirty trick on manipulating media.

She is best known for her best-selling 1997 account of the Nanking Massacre （南京大屠杀）, which was previously unheard of in the United States of America.
Nowadays, in United States of America, the history of Chinese's 35 million lives loss in WWII is still barely mentioned.

Why Jimmy Kimmel Show Singled Out Chinese to Kill
Simple, people are living much longer. Failure to pass a budget to balance the structural deficit and address the elder care and promised standard of living, plus the perennial wars that depleted treasury, the congress and everyone need to find the public enemy number one. China has been the punching bag for almost 200 years since 1840 (before the two world wars, rise and fall of Communism and McCarthyism). After demonizing it for so long, China's reputation is worse than Jew's reputation in Germany prior to the holocaust. It is not just politician, think-tanks, media outlet or pastor, even 6-year old kids already understood from bottom of their heart that Chinese and Chinese Americans are detestable, threat to their well-being and living standard. Even Chinese scholars and most Chinese American bought in the myth that China was probably "manipulating the currency" and "accumulating outsized U.S. Debt".
The Jimmy Kimmel show has to go to air before people learning of the truth of national debt and understand that Japan already came back to be the number 1 foreign debtor of U.S. national debt. There's simply no evidence supporting the widely publicized allegations.
This was eerily like back in 1870s when the racial hatred and Chinese Exclusion Act was being prepared. It is hard to believe that Congress passed an apology for the century of discrimination only in 2011.

Disney Teaches America How to Apologize: Backdate Your Apology to Show the World You Really Said it!

A Chinese American found this interesting technique Disney ABC used to make a mockery of Chinese Americans. "ABC sincerely apologized days ago and they are still marching!"
Around 9:00 PM Pacific Time Sunday 11/10/2013, Chinese's Official News Agency first(how come they know beforehand?) reported a new apology from ABC. Apparently there are mounting pressure on the protesters to accept whatever throwing to them and go back to normal life.
Later the link was posted in the forum protesters gathers. It was dated Friday, November 8th, 2013. Although still has no much substance, instead of apologizing by blaming the offended for "lacking of humor", laying finger on the planetary system "today is a weird day", or hiding behind "the 6-year did it(!) and we didn't agree", Disney ABC finally admitted that this is indeed a systematic error of Disney ABC that should never happened with this hate speech. It says
"The simple fact is, the segment should never have been broadcast. Systems we have in place for these types of things did not function properly, and steps have been made to try and prevent this kind of egregious mistake from occurring in the future."
"We have strengthened our review process and several new safeguards have been put in place to both our Broadcast Standards & Practices and Entertainment Programming areas to ensure that segments like this are immediately brought to the attention of appropriate senior executives who can address them appropriately."
Although it still didn't meet the standard of a good apology. There's no mentioning of Chinese or Chinese American ("looking into the eyes") or Rights to Live ("apologize for what"). The protesters decided to suspend further protests and boycott of Disney.
Unfortunately a curious Chinese American decided to find out why no one ever on the earth knew about this apology dated back on Friday. Sure, ABC may just have neglected to tell anyone in the world what they meant and they really apologized again. But the results is "interesting".
On November 8th 2013, ABC had a Press Release (pr62214), with title **ABC'S "GREY'S" IS UP AN "SCANDAL" CONTINUES AS THE SEASON'S FASTEST GROWING RETURNING SERIES (11/7)**
To show that they INDEED made "sincere" apology before the Chinese Americans' Rights to Live rally on 11/9, they replaced the content of this press release (pr62214) so that the release is backdated to November 8th. Now we have "Statement on behalf of ABC Entertainment and Jimmy Kimmel Live!" released before the rally. "How ignorant the protesters are to miss this!"
We bet that Disney ABC will need another investigation so that a poor IT engineer (a reasonable chance foreign born new immigrant since they are behind the success of US technologies) in either Disney ABC or search engine Behemoth Google will be terminated. The Micky Mouse always win and Disney/ABC will NEVER do anything wrong purposefully. [UPDATE: The original post has further evidence that Google is not malfunctioning. A Proposed Petition to Boycott Disney on Racial Hate Speech

What:
Organize and coordinate Chinese American against Disney/ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Show "killing everyone in China" hate speech. Insist on delivering the Chinese American voices in transparent, non-political, objective, lawful, honorable, non-violent and non-denigrating way. Uphold free speech rights and distance from person(s) or events that promotes violence, unlawful trespassing, denigrating, defamatory, or biased speeches.
Deliver monthly report on status of existing White House petition, change.org on investigation petition and change.org Kansen Chu petition. Detail their individual efforts and effects. If not available, detail efforts to reach out to these petitions.
Help organize and coordinate demonstrations at and boycotting of Disneyland, Disney World, Disney Store and Disney Cruise in holiday season of 2013 and 2014. The signatories agree not to purchase any Disney merchandise, shows or travel packages while this petition is outstanding.
Reach out to Chinese American and supporters. If need, be authorized to compile signatories email list and carry out donation campaign among all signatories for the purpose of electronic and mail campaign, publication on US top media outlets, and collecting materials related to Jimmy Kimmel Show "Kill Everyone in China" Hate Speech protest.
This petition and any authorization will expire in a year before midnight November 11, 2014. It may also be dissolved any time when there's independent unbiased proof showing that Jimmy Kimmel really turned the frowns of Chinese Americans upside down.
Why:
We understand that Jimmy Kimmel "killing everyone in China" is a show. ABC later agreed that the message is offensive and should never happen only after widespread demonstrations.
Unfortunately, the apologies by Disney/ABC on Oct 25th 2013 in letter (or previous communications) was not satisfactory. Jimmy Kimmel's personal appearance in various apologies as of date were not satisfactory either. His insists of "that's not me" rather than honorably taking the responsibility "the buck stops here" to send a clear message to all Americans that racial hatred should never be tolerated or condoned told us his real position on the issue. That's why we need this follow up. Media report of "sincere apologies" hadn't happened.
Although it is not directly targeting Chinese Americans,we have heard reports of incidents that "A mom almost burst out crying when she called us 'kids at my child's school pointed at my child’s head and said, *Kill you all Chinese*’”. It is not hard to imagine that these are happening because of this publicity and Jimmy Kimmel's insist this should be read as a joke and no further clear message is needed to all American.
